After discussions, the Trump Administration has agreed to delay the implementation of the widespread action announced last week
Over the weekend, US President Donald Trump confirmed that he has ordered a two-week delay of plans announced late last week to effect immigration raids in major cities across the country.
The president cited the need to give Congress more time to come to a bipartisan agreement on how to handle the crisis at the southern border of the country as the reason for the delay.
The raids were slated to take place in 10 US cities and would have likely impacted at least 2,000 migrant families. The president spoke with the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Saturday, and made his decision the following day.
